NextGen

What is Next Gen Ministry?

Next Generation Ministries encompasses young adults from ages 19-29. It is our goal to equip young adults to be the Next Generation Church. Therefore, we strive to create multiple environments programmed to engage the Next Generation and allow them to grow at their own level. While we want to create a fun-filled ministry, our greatest hope and prayer is that young adults experience life transformation together in community. After students graduate from high-school, they step into the realm of college or begin a career. Next Gen ministry supports and encourages spiritual growth of these young adults through community based events and training. We hope you will consider joining us for our October Next Gen Encounter.

Speed The Light

What is Speed the Light?

STL-GraphicSpeed the Light (STL) is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $253 million for missionary equipment around the world.

Speed the Light began in 1944 after Ralph Harris, then head of the National Youth Ministries department, prayed for a way to give A/G students the opportunity to help missionaries in their work. Now, by providing ministry equipment to our missionaries, STL is training the young people of America to develop individual ownership of the Great Commission as they help our missionaries spread the gospel message to the lost.

Today, Speed the Light is one of the most effective youth missions ministries in the world. Assemblies of God students have accepted a great responsibility to voluntarily sacrifice and raise funds to purchase the equipment. STL operates with one guiding principle: All assistance must go to purchase equipment directly related to evangelism. STL equipment has not been nor is presently given for promotion, solicitation, or normal administrative functions.

If our missionaries are going to get to where the lost live, it will be because of Speed the Light. Every missionary in the Assemblies of God will at some point fly, drive, or float to their destination in transportation that has been provided to them by our churches and students through Speed the Light. Airplanes, cars, vans, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, buses, boats, horses, camels, donkeys, wheel barrows, etc., if it has wheels or hooves and can carry a missionary to a country, city, town, village, or under a card board box where someone is waiting to hear about Jesus, Speed the Light has provided it.

We give so our missionaries can travel faster, preach clearer, and be heard louder, in order that that Heaven might be a bigger place…filled with people from every nationality, color, and tribe who have accepted Him as their Savior.

What are Speed the Light Summits?

STL Summits - Every year a variety of churches around Southern California take part in youth rallies that involve multiple youth groups that come together to raise and pledge funds towards our overseas and home missionaries. We love and appreciate our missionaries and all they do in reaching those in need of Christ here in the United States and beyond! Check out the STL Summit calendar and see when a rally will be happening in your area that you can be part of. These youth rallies offer a great way to connect with fellow youth groups in your geographic area and learn about the missionary your section is lending aid to.

Giving

We would love for you to participate in serving our missionaries as they carry the gospel. 100% of all donations fund our missionaries. NO percentages are taken off in order for all our missionaries to receive full funds. In addition, if you would like to donate, we would prefer that you do not utilize a credit card since percentages are removed with each transaction and we want our missionaries to receive complete funds.

If you would like to make a donation please send cash or a check made out to: Socal Network or STL to: 17951, Cowan Irvine 92614. Attn STL

Please partner with us in helping our missionaries.

Bible Quiz

Do you really want to disciple your youth, your teen? Let someone who has been in the Assemblies of God for 54-years make the claim that Bible Quiz is the greatest discipleship ministry for our youth in the Assemblies of God (or anywhere for that matter). The world is being much too successful in imprinting its values, its patterns for life (or as the Word of God describes it, values and patterns for death) on our youth, our teens, don’t you agree? We need to imprint God’s values, God’s pattern for life (eternal life) on our youth, our teens, don’t you think?
